Of Gunther the villager, with a heart so fair.

Gunther went walking one sunny day,
Found a little snail, right in his way.
Took it in his hand, said with a grin,
"To my garden, you will fit in!"

Then he found a beetle, shiny and bright,
Picked it up too, held it tight.
"To my garden," he said with glee,
"You'll be happy there, just wait and see."

But then he found a mushroom, nice and round,
"This'll be great in my soup," he found.
Put down the beetle, took the shroom,
In his hand, it started to bloom.

Then another mushroom, he did see,
Put down the first, picked up with glee.
Still just one, in his hand so light,
Put down the snail, then all was right.

If a monkey comes, we'll have a place."

Out he looked, in the evening light,
No creatures around, no friends in sight.
